The measures taken for providing unemployed people with job in Gabala region is successfully carried on. The Region Employment Center achieved recruitment of hundreds of people, who were looking for a job, by working closely with employer organizations last year. 452 of 1280 people, who had been registered in Gabala Region Employment Center as jobseekers, were provided with job in different institutions, organizations and private enterprises within 2017. 70 of those people are women, while 108 are youth. In addition, 52 people received unemployment status and allowance for it. From unemployed population, 20 job seeking women were involved in the “Rug Making” vocational training programme, 10 of them were provided with job. In connection with the execution of the Decree dated on April 7, 2016 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “on additional measures for ensuring self-employment of the population”, the relevant works are implemented in Gabala too. Last year, 16 participants of self-employment programme, 3 of which in the service field, and 13 in agriculture, were provided with assets they needed to start their own businesses. From those citizens, 8 engaged in beef cattle production, 4 in dairy cattle production, 1 in beekeeping, 1 in the fast food field, 1 in computer service, printing and typography, and 1 in auto service. 7 participants of the self-employment program were provided with 27 animals of cattle including calves, 5 with 122 animals of small ruminants, 1 with computer and printing equipments, 1 with 15 honey-bee colonies, 1 with auto service tools, and 1 with fast food equipment.
