Scientific-theoretical conference on "Modern Diagnosis and Treatment of Oncological Diseases" was held in Gabala.

On December 23, with joint organization of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's Regional Development Public Union (RDPU), the Ministry of Health and the National Center of Oncology (NCO), a scientific-theoretical conference on "Modern Diagnosis and Treatment of Oncological Diseases" was held in Gabala Heydar Aliyev Congress Center for more than 150 doctors working in the fields of oncology and general therapy in 15 surrounding districts. Highly qualified doctors of the National Center of Oncology delivered speeches at the conference. The conference was opened by Azad Kerimli, the chief doctor of the National Center of Oncology who spoke about the achievements in this field in our country. He noted that today the rapid economic development of our republic had a positive impact on the development of all social spheres, including health. As a result of the care and attention of President Ilham Aliyev, successful reforms in the field of health, improvement of the material and technical basis of medical institutions, and the work on supply and staff training have led to new achievements. It was stressed that the National Center of Oncology with its rich material and technical base and strong human resources potential is now being compared with the most advanced healthcare institutions in the world. The National Center of Oncology continues its cooperation with the World Health Organization, "MD Anderson" and "Sloan Kettering" Oncology Centers, European Nuclear Medicine Association and other influential centers. The speeches of professor Aziz Aliyev, surgeon oncologist of Head and Neck Tumors Department on "Modern Surgical Treatment of Head and Neck Tumors", of their doctors of the Center - Professor Reyman Ismayilzada on "Initial approach to oncological diseases in children", doctors of medical sciences Fuad Guliyev on "Diagnostics and treatment in oncourology", Elturan Ismayilov on "Cancer disease prevention", Fuad Novruzov on "Nuclear Medicine (PET-CT)", Tahir Najafov on "Modern diagnosis and treatment methods of breast cancer", Shamistan Aliyev on "Early diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer" and doctor Yusif Aliyarov on "colon cancer - prophylaxis and colonoscopy " were heard. The speeches of the center's doctors about modern approaches to the examination and treatment of cancer have been met with interest. During the conference, new methods applied in surgical operations of cancer have been explained through video recordings and questions have been answered.
