Within the framework of the project of ”Learning Our Country” the schoolchildren from the Gabala region were seen off toa tour trip to Guba, Gusar and Khachmaz regions.

In accordance with the commission of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, within the framework of the project Let’s Learn about Our Country, organized for students of the IX-XI classes of the cities and regions of our republic, a see-off ceremony was held for schoolchildren departing from the Gabala region in a tour trip to Guba, Gusar and Khachmaz regions. The head of department of socio-political and humanitarian issues of the regional executive power, the deputy head of the REP Ataya Osmanova, who addressed the ceremony which was held in front of the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev, erected in the centre of Gabala city, spoke about the importance of the campaign organized at the request of the head of state. It was noted that one of the main goals of the state youth policy pursued in Azerbaijan is the education of the younger generation in the spirit of love for the Motherland. Enlightening tour-campaigns, held under the motto “Learning Our Country” serve this idea. Yashar Nazirov, Acting Head of the Regional Education Department, spoke at the ceremony and said that the project implementation is of great importance for educating the country’s youth in the spirit of patriotism, respect for our historical and cultural heritage and enriching the world outlook of schoolchildren. A parent Mammadov Gabil spoke and said that such tour campaigns are the manifestation of the concern of the president of the country Ilham Aliyev about the comprehensive growing of the young generation as citizens. "Our children will learn our homeland better within this tour-campaign. On behalf of all parents, I express my gratitude to the head of state paying special attention to this event." A student of the IX year of the Savalan village general secondary school Leyla Shukurova, speaking at the meeting, noted: "I’ve visited many regions of our republic. In this tour together with classmates we will get acquainted with the nature and sights of Guba, Gusar and Khachmaz regions. During the trip we will gather rich information about the history, customs and development of our country. For this, I express my gratitude to the organizers of the tour." Later, the tour participants laid flowers at the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev. The regional executive power created a headquarter for the organization of the educational tour. Zahir Karimov, head of the information support and analysis sector of the regional executive power, was appointed head of the group, students were given special clothes. Parents and students who attended the ceremony thanked the head of state Ilham Aliyev. At the end, the students participating in the tour campaign went to Guba under the sound of music on a special bus provided for them.
