The IX Conference of the Gabala Regional Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) took place in Gabala. Prior to the conference, the guests and participants of the conference visited and laid flowers to the monument of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, located in the center of Gabala. Then the official part of the conference was continued in the conference room of the "Qafqaz-Resort" hotel. The chairperson of the Council of Elders of the republic MP Fattah Heydarov, the member of the Political Council of the NAP, the chief editor of the newspaper "Iki Sahil" Vugar Rahimzade, the senior employee of the NAP Central Administration Emil Abasov, took part in the conference. The participants of the conference honored the memory of the founder of the party, the creator of the modern independent Azerbaijan, National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the deceased members of the party with a minute of silence. Opening the event with the introductory speech, chairperson of the Gabala Regional Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party Abil Aghasafov made a report on the work done in the regional organization over the past period. A.Aghasafov said that "during the reporting period, the Gabala Regional Organization of NAP was constantly guided by the ideas of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, speeches of a program nature of the President, the Chairperson of the New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev, tasks resulting from the recommendations of the Executive Secretariat of the party" and stressed that for 25 years now, the New Azerbaijan Party, together with more than 700 thousand members of the party, united in its ranks, is strengthening its leading positions in the political arena of the country. Then the report of Vugar Huseynov, chairperson of the Control and Auditing Group, was heard. The chairperson of the Council of Elders MP Fattah Heydarov said that the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is not only the architect of independent Azerbaijan, but also the founder of the New Azerbaijan Party: "The New Azerbaijan Party created by the National Leader and strengthened as a result of wise and resolute activities of the President, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, today is a powerful political force supported by the people and having great authority. Today, in Gabala, as well as throughout the country, the confidence of region residents in the New Azerbaijan Party, continuing the political course of the Great leader Heydar Aliyev, is extremely high." Speaking about the situation that arose as a result of the political and economic crisis in the country in the years when the NAP had been created, F.Heydarov noted that at the moment the New Azerbaijan Party has great authority in the republic and wished success to the work of the conference. At the conference, Member of the Political Council of the NAP, editor-in-chief of the "Iki Sahil" newspaper Vugar Rahimzade, in his speech, spoke about the glorious historical path of the party, the years of party leadership of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the work carried out in the republic after the election of the Great Leader as the President of the country at the request of the people, the great successes of domestic and foreign policy implemented by our esteemed President Mr. Ilham Aliyev at the moment. V.Rahimzade said that "the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party was conditioned by historical necessity as a result of the people's desire during the period when the Azerbaijani statehood was subjected to the most severe challenges. Successfully carrying out activities in the political arena of our country from the first day of creation, NAP made its worthy contribution to the preservation of our national independence, strengthening of our statehood, development of our economy" and stressed that Azerbaijan was saved from dismemberment, anarchy, chaos and decay and reached the current high level of development as a result of the far-sighted policy of the great leader Heydar Aliyev. Member of the Political Council of NAP noted that independence, which we achieved, today, as a result of the successful domestic and foreign policy pursued by the President of the country, the Chairperson of the NAP Ilham Aliyev, has become even stronger, and that the independence of Azerbaijan has gained immortality. At the conference, Sabuhi Abdullayev, the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, talked about the invaluable historical merits of the founder of the NAP and the modern Azerbaijan state, and the Great Leader who saved our country from the threat of destruction, and about the party's position in society as the center of great political power. S.Abdullayev said that the development strategy laid down by the great leader Heydar Aliyev has been successfully continued by the President Ilham Aliyev today. In his speech, S. Abdullayev, who highly appreciates the activities of the party's region organization, noted the leading role of the NAP in the society, and spoke about the successes achieved in the country under the leadership of the Chairperson of the New Azerbaijan Party, President Ilham Aliyev: "The conquest by Azerbaijan of the tops now is the result of the successful continuation by President Ilham Aliyev of the brilliant visionary policy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Today every region of Azerbaijan, including the Gabala region, experiences progress. "Chairperson of the Women's Council of the Gabala Regional NAP Organization Arifa Bayramova, the chairperson of the Youth Association of the Regional Organization Namig Aghayev, the teacher of the Gabala Tourism and Hotel Business Vocational Training Center Reyhan Mammadova, the senior employee of the NAP Central Administration Emil Abasov and others, informing in their speeches about the measures taken by Gabala Regional Organization of NAP for the period since the last conference, evaluated the organization's activity as satisfactory. Then the organizational issue was considered at the conference. 45 people were elected for the members of the Council, 15 people to the Board and 7 people for the Control and Auditing Group. Aghasafov Abil Adil was again elected chairperson of the Gabala Regional Organization of the NAP. Fakhri Soltanov and Elchin Taghiyev were elected deputy chairmen. As a result of the conference, a group of young people admitted to the ranks of the NAP were presented with certificates of party members.
