Gabala city hosts the International Music Festival in a successful manner. This music festival has already turned into a beautiful tradition, and won the deep sympathy of the foreign and local musicians with its gorgeousness. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva closely support to hold this music festival in Gabala, a picturesque corner of our republic. This international music festival is a sign of the significant attention paid to the multicultural values in our country. Power of music is so powerful and boundless that the performances of the famous soloists and orchestras attending this festival from different countries around the world allow us to feel the spiritual affinity.
In accordance with the program of the festival, on August 1 the concert of famous musicians from Azerbaijan, Israel and USA was held in the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center in Gabala city. The next successfully held chamber concert is also remembered with the extremely interesting performances. Sharing the same stage, well-known musicians such as director of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall, professor Murad Adigozalzadeh (piano), concertmaster of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra of Israel, teacher at Jerusalem Conservatory of Music, prominent violinist Janna Gandelman, one of the artistic directors of the festival, music director of the orchestra "Virtuosos of Kiev", conductor of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra of Israel, world famous cellist Dmitry Yablonsky, teacher at "Buchmann-Mehta" School of Music in Tel Aviv and Sadna Conservatory, horn player Michael Slatkin performed unforgettable works of the famous composers such as Johannes Brahms, Fikrat Amirov and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Azerbaijani young pianists Saida Taghizadeh, Elkhan Niftiyev and viola player Rana Rahimova performed European composers’ works as well. The performances of the musicians received applauses from local and foreign spectators.
We need to remind that, IX Gabala International Music Festival which takes place with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and with the support of Ministry of Culture and Tourism and “Gilan Holding” will come to end on August 3.
