North-West Regional Center of MES held a district meeting.

June 21, 2016 the North-West Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations together with the State Water Rescue Service of the ministry and Gabala Region Executive Power held regional meeting on the topic "Implementation of appropriate measures in cooperation with local authorities and government to ensure the safety of people basins during the beach season of 2016". The event was attended by employees of the North-West Regional Centre and the State Water Rescue Service, First Deputy Head of Gabala Region Executive Power, chairperson of the Committee of Emergency Situations, the members of the Commission of Emergency Situations, representatives of the territorial executive authorities, chairmen of municipalities, senior officials of the district education department, representatives of the Central district Hospital, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology and the law enforcement of the region. Addressing the meeting, First Deputy Head of Gabala Region Executive Power, chairperson of the regional Commission of Emergency Situations Abil Aghasafov spoke about the importance of the event and brought to the attention the importance of education in this sphere. Then, the staff of the Regional Centre and the State Water Rescue Service of the ministry talked about the work carried out by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the prevention of emergency situations and elimination of consequences in our country, about the measures taken by the North-West Regional Center on their territory in the fight against emergency situations. During the meeting detailed information was given on the results of monitoring conducted in the basins in the Gabala region, the need for cooperation with local executive bodies in the removal of problems was noted. Further the deputy chief physician of the Central Regional Hospital, the head of the District Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology, representatives of settlement and village administrative territories of the district spoke on the subject. In conclusion, a video and photo slideshow were shown on the topic, the participants of the event were distributed educational handouts and warning leaflets.
