“Hero of the Patriotic War” Medal was rewarded to the Patriotic War martyr’s family in Gabala
Gabala Cultural Center held an event on awarding the family of Colonel-Lieutenant Abdurahmanov Afgan Aghasaf, a resident of Amirvan village, Gabala district who was awarded for his courage showing in the Patriotic War, with the “Hero of the Patriotic War” Medal by the Order of the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Supreme-Commander-in Chief Ilham Aliyev dated December 09, 2020. Representatives of district executive power, law-enforcement agencies, Gabala branch of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription and family members of the martyr participated at the event. First of all, a minute's silence was observed in memory of our martyrs who died in the Patriotic War; and the veterans were healed and the parents of the martyrs were asked for patience. Speaking at the event, Head of Gabala District Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev spoke about battle path of Colonel-Lieutenant Abdurahmanov Afgan Aghasaf who showed courage, successfully fulfilled combat tasks by participating in the military operations during the 44-days Patriotic War; and “Hero of the Patriotic War” Medal set up by the Presidential Order was rewarded to the martyr’s son. Family members of the martyr expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care shown to the families of martyrs.
