INFORMATION of operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Coronavirus infection (COVID-19) continues to spread rapidly all over the world. Long incubation period of the virus, the speed of its spread and the lack of a vaccine against it make states take more serious measures. Taking into consideration that coronavirus has been declared global pandemic by the World Health Organization and based on the recommendations and requirements of the World Health Organization in the direction of preventing the virus, a number of urgent measures have become necessary in the country. In this regard, it was decided to cancel mass events for a month. Also, from the structures belonging to public and private sectors, citizens are required to seriously observe special rules. Operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan informs some social isolation measures that will be applied in the country starting from 00:00 on March 14, 2020:

• all the public events in the country, including cultural and sports events, are cancelled, the date of events already scheduled changes;

• the activities of cinemas, museums and theaters, entertainment centers, gyms in the country are suspended,

• wedding events all over the country are prohibited (except for wedding events scheduled for dates until March 14 and March 15, 2020),

• holding mourning ceremonies in ceremonial halls, tents and other covered premises, except for funerals, are prohibited

• the working hours in restaurants and cafes are set until 21:00, it is obligatory to observe the rules that will be disclosed to these places by corresponding government agencies,

• organization of mass celebrations, ceremonies in restaurants and cafes is prohibited

• the activities of clubs and bars operating after 21:00 are suspended

• it is obligatory to implement the activities of shopping centers operating all over the country in accordance with the rules that will be disclosed by corresponding government agencies

• there will be no changes in the operating of pharmacies, grocery stores and supermarkets,

• public transport activities will be implemented in accordance with the rules that will be disclosed by corresponding government agencies,

• visits to persons treated in medical institutions by their relatives are prohibited,

• visits of all the persons working in government agencies and health workers abroad may be implemented based on the permission of Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan,

• except for the most important points, the business trips of people working in public and private sectors should be limited,

• private medical institutions should work in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Association of the Management of Medical Territorial Departments (OUMTO),

within the specified period, special rules must be drawn up for the activities of government agencies, private structures, banking facilities and public catering facilities and other structures, consideration of citizens' applications, reception of citizens, organization of internal meetings.

The penalties will be applied for those treated diagnosed with Coronavirus in special treatment hospitals who violate the quarantine rules.

At the same time, the most strict measures will be taken against mass media, including users of social networks that aim to form a false opinion in the society and intentionally distribute such information.

Citizens and mass media are required to be as responsible as possible related to current situation that has developed all over the world and to completely support the activities implemented by the government. Thus, at present, in the emergency conditions created based on the coronavirus, it is important not only to conduct events by the state, but also the steps of our citizens, the whole society, arising from social responsibility, their support for the work implemented. All the recommendations, suggestions and decisions of Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan should be strictly implemented.
