The awarding of distinguished athletes was held in Gabala.
The departing 2019 year was successful for athletes of Gabala region as well. Thus, Gabala athletes won 42 medals at national and international competitions this year, including 12 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medals. It was announced at the event held on December 28th at the Heydar Aliyev Center in connection with the awarding of athletes who distinguished themselves within national and international competitions. Speaking at the event organized by the Gabala Region Youth and Sports Department, the Department Head Fakhri Soltanov told about the high level of state concern for the sports development in our country and the successes of Gabala athletes in 2019. At the conclusion of the event, athletes, who distinguished themselves within national and international competitions, were awarded honorary diplomas and valuable gifts.
