Gabala hosts festive events dedicated to the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis - December 31st and the New Year.

The festive celebrations are conducted in the settlements, departments and enterprises, educational, health and cultural centers on the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis - December 31st and the New Year. An event dedicated to the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis and the New Year was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Gabala together with the Child and Family Support Center. Speakers at the event told about the history of the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis. It was mentioned that the celebration of this historic day, calling for the global solidarity of Azerbaijanis, is the merit of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. It was the Great Leader, being the chairperson of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, who decided to celebrate December 31st as the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis on December 16th, 1991. The event continued with songs and dances performed by the kids, and Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) was greeted with great joy. At the end, children received gifts. First, at a festive event held in the Gabala Cultural Center, a message sent from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to Azerbaijanis all over the world was heard. The hosts of the festive celebration informed in detail about the successes achieved in the country in the socio-political and economic spheres in 2019. The event was continued with enthusiastic fun melodies and poems. The arrival of Ded Moroz and Snow Maiden brought great joy to young participants of the festive event. Ded Moroz gave presents to the kids. At the initiative of the regional branch of the Red Crescent Society and the cultural center, a festive celebration dedicated to the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis and the New Year took place at the Day Care Center for 3-12 years old Children with Disabilities in Gabala. The artistic program, created with the participation of children, was also watched with great interest. The heads of the region education department, culture center, the local branch of Capital Bank and the regional branch of the Red Crescent Society participated in the festive event and presented gifts to the children. Festive events in schools and kindergartens of the region were also interesting and memorable. Events dedicated to the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis and the New Year will continue until January 7th.
