An event on the occasion of "State Independence Day" was organized in the Gabala Region Culture Center.
An event was held in the Gabala Culture Center on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of state independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Speakers at the event told about the restoration of state independence 28 years ago, the difficulties that Azerbaijan faced at that time, the difficult but glorious path of independence of our republic. The autocracy, chaos and anarchy that reigned in the first years of independence in the country, the aggressive war conducted by Armenia against our republic, the occupation of 20 percent of our lands, the expulsion of more than 1 million of our compatriots from our native lands were recalled once again. It was noted that with the return of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to power in 1993, in such a difficult time for our people and state, Azerbaijan’s independence was preserved, civil war was prevented in our country, political stability was ensured, our economy emerged from a difficult crisis and entered the development path, progress was achieved in the construction of a regular army, as well as in all areas. It was noted that the wise policy of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, aimed at developing the power of Azerbaijan, is now successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, and the state independence of our republic is further strengthened. Then the event continued with an artistic part. Khayal Ganjimov, an elocutioner, read poetry on a patriotic theme, music was performed by the “Chinar” instrumental ensemble.
