Hundreds of young people took part in the “Sports Festival” in Gabala.
At the Gabala Olympic Sports Complex, hundreds of teenagers and young people demonstrated their skills in various sports at the mass sports event held under the slogan “Doors Open Day” and “Will to Victory!”. A massive sporting event organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports dedicated to the State Flag Day on November 9 is designed to increase the interest of teenagers and youth in sports, to instill in them simple sport exercises for a healthy lifestyle, to make Olympic sports complexes, sports grounds and facilities accessible to everyone. Speaking at the opening of the sports festival, the Head of the Gabala Region Youth and Sports Department Fakhri Soltanov noted that the new generation is paying more attention to their health. They are interested in spending free time in physical education, fitness, yoga, dancing. Young people regard physical health as an important part of the “responsible citizenship - successful state” association. Speaking at the event, the director of the Olympic Sports Complex Matlab Karimov, the director of the Children and Youth Sports Chess School Adalat Aliyev, sports veteran Eyvaz Kyazimov talked about state care for sports and athletes in the country and stated that new sports facilities with all conditions were commissioned for the young generation. At the festival, held to the sounds of cheerful music, performances in various sports were shown, experienced trainers conducted workshops. Then, the festival participants familiarized themselves with the conditions created in the Olympic Sports Complex.
