An essay competition entitled “Our independence is eternal, irreversible and indestructible” was held.

When organizing the Gabala Region Youth and Sports Department, an essay competition on the theme "Our independence is eternal, irreversible and indestructible", dedicated to October 18 - the Day of State Independence, was held among the students of 9-11 grades of full secondary schools of the Gabala region . The competition was attended by 22 students of secondary schools of the region. On October 17, 2016, the results of the competition and the awarding ceremony were held in the assembly hall of the Region Executive Power. Opening the event, the Head of the Region Youth and Sports Department Fakhri Soltanov greeted the participants and informed about the results of the competition, spoke about the goals and objectives of the competition and noted that the purpose of the competition is to educate young people on the basis of the principles of patriotism, Azerbaijanism and statehood. F. Soltanov noted that on October 18, 1991 at the session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan the “Constitutional Act on State Independence of Azerbaijan” was adopted. With this important historical document, our people gained the freedom that they had longed for for many years. During this period, Azerbaijan has become one of the most powerful states in the world, both politically and economically. In terms of economic growth, our country has reached a leading position not only in the region, but also in the world. Not a single large-scale project in the region is carried out without the participation and consent of Azerbaijan. Speaking at the event, the chairperson of the jury Ruslan Ismayilov noted that the competition played an important role in the patriotic education of the young generation and congratulated the winners. In accordance with the provisions of the competition, 1 person took 1st place, 2 people - 2nd place, 3 people - 3rd place. According to the results of the competition, the 1st place was taken by a student of the full secondary school of Zalam village Aytaj Aghayeva, a student of the full secondary school No.4 of Gabala city Aysel Karimova and a student of the full secondary school No.1 of Vandam village Bikakhanim Balayeva took 2nd place, a student of the full secondary school No.1 of Zaraghan village Gulay Agharzayeva, a student at the full secondary school of Soltannukha village Gulay Heydarova, and a student of the full secondary school of Boyuk-Pirali village Rahila Eyvazova took 3rd place. The winners were awarded diplomas and souvenirs from the Youth and Sports Department.
