In a full secondary school No. 5 of the city of Gabala, a meeting was held with students on the topics “Let's say no to drugs!”, “Early marriage and its consequences” and “The fight against religious radicalism”. The meeting was attended by police veterans, district police officers, educators, school teachers and high school students. The head of the district police, Colonel Nadir Mammadov, speaking at the event, said that young people in their daily lives should focus on education, effective work and a healthy lifestyle. The fight against the consequences of drug abuse, which is one of the biggest disasters for humanity, is still relevant. The police are taking tough measures to fight against drug trafficking. N. Mammadov also gave information about religious radicalism and extremism, social problems caused by them, as well as measures taken to fight against them, and spoke about state-religious relations, a tolerant and multicultural environment in our country. The event also addressed the issue of early marriage. Speakers noted that early marriages increased divorce rates and limited educational opportunities for girls. At the end, answers to students' questions were given.
