Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of Boyuk Amili-Bilikh-Amirvan automobile road of Gabala region.

The opening of Boyuk Amili-Bilikh-Amirvan automobile road of Gabala region after its reconstruction was held on October 28.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the automobile road.
The Chairman of the Board of directors of State Agency of Automobile Roads, Saleh Mammadov, said that in accordance with state programs for the development of the regions, more recently, targeted measures have been taken in the field of the modernization of the road infrastructure. The volume of construction and reconstruction of roads increases every year. At present, large-scale projects related to the reconstruction and improvement of the transport and road infrastructure of the republic are being successfully implemented at the expense of state budget. Now main focus is on the repair and reconstruction of the roads connecting villages and settlements in the regions, as well internal roads of the settlements.
It was noted that Boyuk Amili-Bilikh-Amirvan automobile road connects 11 settlements with 10 thousand inhabitants. The road with the length of 19 km is the road of the 4th technical category. On the road, which consists of two lanes, there are many road signs and directional signs, signal posts and 8 parking spaces. On the 10th kilometer of the road, over the Garachay river, new four-span bridge was built, and two-span bridge over the Zalamchay river was repaired. The construction of this road will create conditions for the quick and comfortable reaching of the points of destination by the people, as well timely delivery of agricultural products to markets and other points of sale.
The President Ilham Aliyev was also informed about the construction of Nij-Mikhligovag-Yemishanli-Uludash-Tikanli-Abrikh automobile road. It was noted that the length of the road which connects 8 settlements with 11 thousand inhabitants is 18 km.
The President Ilham Aliyev, giving the order on the reconstruction of Shamakhi-Ismayilli road, said the following:
- I came here along Baku-Shamakhi road. This road is in good condition. At one time, I gave an order related to the expansion of the road to 4 lanes; work in this field is almost completed. However, Shamakhi-Ismayilli road is in a terrible condition. We cannot put up with such a road. Why are not you reporting this? At present, we build even rural roads at the level of highways. So roads between cities, especially roads leading to touristic zones, cannot be in such a terrible condition. Make suggestions and we will introduce Shamakhi-Ismayilli road into the investment program. Shamakhi-Ismayilli road should be put into commission by the next year, and at the highest level.
Then the head of our state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of Boyuk Amili-Bilikh-Amirvan automobile raod after its reconstruction.
