Agricultural workers celebrated their professional holiday.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated on October 9, 2008, November 1 is annually celebrated in our country as the Day of Agricultural Workers. Like every year, this year agricultural workers of the region solemnly celebrated a professional holiday amid the successes achieved in the financial year. On November 1, the Deputy Head of the Region Executive Power Arif Allakhverdiyev, the staff of the regional state center for agrarian development, representatives of farmers, and other agricultural entities came to the monument to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev erected in the center of Gabala city and honored the blessed memory of the brilliant leader. At the event, held in the center of agrarian development, the Head of Department Rahib Ahmadov congratulated the participants on their professional holiday, spoke about the achievements in recent years in the field of agriculture in the Gabala region. He noted that over the 9 months of this year, agricultural workers received more than 65 thousand tons of grain, 4692.8 tons of potatoes, 3838 tons of vegetables, 29 tons of gourds. These numbers are much more than in the previous year. Arif Allakhverdiyev, Deputy Head of the Region Executive Power, congratulated the participants on their professional holiday, noted the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev for the non-oil sector, including agriculture.
