The first meeting of the Management Committee on the development of inter-regional cooperation between Azerbaijan and France was held at the Cultural Center of the embassy of our country in France. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Rahman Mustafayev, co-chairs of the Management Committee, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Rufat Mammadov and head of the department of interregional international relations of the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs of France Christine Moreau, French ambassador to Azerbaijan Zachary Gross, diplomats of both countries, mayors and deputy mayors of sister cities. At the first meeting of the Management Committee on the development of inter-regional cooperation between Azerbaijan and France, Ambassador R. Mustafayev spoje about economic relations between the two countries, sister cities and their activities. Despite the fact that he praised the development of interregional ties, he noted that this potential is not fully used. Deputy Minister of Economics R. Mammadov informed about the current state of economic relations between the two countries and spoke about French companies registered in our country and mutual investments. He said that the cooperation between the two countries has a solid legal base and noted that compliance with international obligations, as well as the national legislation of the parties, is the basis of cooperation. The head of the department of inter-regional international relations of the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs of France C. Moreau said that inter-regional cooperation contributes to the development of relations between the two countries. He spoke about the possibilities in his country for expanding inter-regional cooperation and noted that French cities are ready for fraternity with Azerbaijani cities. At the first meeting of the Management Committee, it was noted that the presence of a large delegation of Azerbaijan reflects the mutual interest of both countries in inter-regional cooperation. The contribution of both embassies to bilateral cooperation was highly appreciated. Along with this, the importance of the role of the Steering Committee in strengthening interregional cooperation was noted. At the meeting, detailed information was given about Nakhchivan, its history, projects implemented jointly with the French, opportunities for cooperation, the Azerbaijani brand "Asan Service" and the tourism opportunities of our country. Representatives of the regions of both countries presented the current situation for cooperation in their regions. Despite the fact that the country is located in a difficult region, stability in our country and favorable conditions for foreign investment have made Azerbaijan an attractive country for investment. It was suggested that the next meeting of the Management Committee on the development of inter-regional cooperation between Azerbaijan and France should be held in one of the cities of Azerbaijan, which became sister cities with French cities.
