International Teacher's Day was celebrated.

On October 4, an event was held in Gabala in connection with the International Teacher's Day. First of all, the participants of the event laid flowers at the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and expressed their respect to him. After the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the head of the education department Arifa Bayramova congratulated educators on International Teacher’s Day, spoke about the high appreciation of pedagogical work in our country, the achievements of teachers over the past academic year, the active participation of our teachers in the socio-political and cultural life of the region and said, that educators also play an important role in this success. She noted that the hard work of teachers deserves all kinds of applause and awards and called the profession of a teacher the most honorable and important profession. Arifa Bayramova said that the name of the teacher was always great and sacred, and urged all teachers to constantly exalt the honor of this name and to educate trained students in the name of the development of our country. Speaking at the event, the Deputy Head of the Executive Power of the Gabala region, Ataya Osmanova, congratulated the teachers on their professional day. Speaking about the reforms in the development of the national education system in the country in recent years, the Deputy Head of the Executive Power of the Gabala region told about the high attention and care that President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva have devoted to education in Gabala, along with other regions of the country. It was noted that state programs, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s program “New school for a renewing Azerbaijan”, adopted in connection with the socio-economic development of the regions, and other large-scale projects are aimed at fulfilling the tasks and strengthening the material and technical base of educational institutions. In the end, a group of teachers was awarded honorary diplomas and gifts for their contribution to the development of education. The event was continued by an art program prepared by students of the full secondary school No. 2 of the village of Zaragan.
