As part of measures to ensure food security in the region, the implementation of measures for artificial insemination, which plays an important role in increasing livestock production, improving the breed composition and breeding qualities of cattle, is expanding. For this purpose, 7 artificial insemination specialists work in the region. Over the past 7 months, artificial insemination experts have inseminated 5042 heads of cows and sheep and received 2223 calves with high genetic potential from artificial inseminated animals. Since October 2016, for each calf obtained by artificial insemination, a subsidy from the state budget is issued. For the 7 months of 2019, 1353 animal owners received 161,800 manats subsidies for 1618 heads of calves received from artificial insemination. As a result, animal owners prefer artificial insemination, which is a progressive method of insemination of animals.
