The chamber concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Oksana Yablonskaya was presented at the Gabala Festival.

Within the framework of the XI Gabala International Music Festival, the concert entitled Oksana Yablonskaya and Friends and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the world famous pianist Oksana Yablonskaya, was presented to music lovers on August 2 at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Centre. The concert was attended by People’s Artist of the USSR, Rector of the U.Hajibeyli Baku Academy of Music, Artistic Director of the XI Gabala International Music Festival Farhad Badalbayli. It was noted that pianist Oksana Yablonskaya (Israel-USA) was born in Moscow. She got trained at the Moscow Music Centre school by A.Goldenweiser, worked as an assistant at the Moscow State Conservatory. O.Yablonskaya became the winner of the J.Long-Zibaud, Rio de Janeiro, and Beethoven Competitions. After her debut at Carnegie Hall, she joined the world famous pianists and performed with symphony orchestras and conductors from more than 40 countries. Her solo records were awarded the Grand Prix of the International Liszt Society. It was noted that O.Yablonskaya has been teaching at the Culliard School for 25 years. She gave master classes in many training centres around the world. O.Yablonskaya is the Vice President and Music Director of the Chopin Society in New York and a consultant to Yamaha masterclasses. She is an Academician of the San Francisco International Academy of Art and the Moscow Academy of Humanities. O.Yablonskaya was a member of the jury of the L.Vasilenko Competition, the Beethoven Piano Competition, the Liszt International Piano Competition and other competitions. In 2008, the O.Yablonskaya Piano Institute was opened in Italy. O.Yablonskaya is also a visiting consultant of the Baku Music Academy, and the chairman of the jury of the Gabala International Piano Competition. During the chamber concert, Oksana Yablonskaya, pianists from the USA Ning-Woo Du, Helen Sim, cellist Yuri Pogoretsky and pianist Irina Starodub from Ukraine, as well as pianists Farhad Badalbeyli, Murad Adigozal-zade and lead singer Sabina Asadova presented interesting concert programs. The concert included works by L.Beethoven, F.Chopin, F.Schubert, R.Schumann, S.Rachmaninov, G.Garayev and F.Amirov.
