An international competition and all-republican championship started in Gabala.

The VII International Competition “Young Rescuer” and the final stage of VIII All-Republican Championship "Young Rescuer and Firefighter" started on June 24, 2019 in Gabala with the organization of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as with the support of the trade union of workers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the ministries of education, youth and sports, and the Gabala Region Executive Power. Speaking at the event, the head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev, Head of the Main Directorate of the Civil Defense Organization of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Major General Niyazi Zamanov, Deputy Head of the Emergency Situations PR Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Mahbuba Mustafayeva, chairman of the trade union of workers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Mehman Ismailov stressed the importance of the competitions and mentioned that they play an important role in acquiring new experiences with adolescents and young people in dealing with emergencies and wished success to participants of the event. Then the competition started. It is worth noting that the All-Republican Championship “Young Rescuer and Firefighter” is held for the eighth time, and the purpose of these competitions is to increase the level of preparedness of adolescents and young people for emergency situations, promote healthy lifestyles among schoolchildren, and instill in them a sense of responsibility for their personal and social security and military-patriotic spirit. The competition is organized in five stages - region (city), zonal and republican. The teams that won in the zonal competitions take part in nationwide final competitions. 12 region and city teams will compete for the first place in the national championship of this year. Teams from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia (Moscow and Ufa), Belarus, Pakistan, Qatar, Georgia, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia and Bulgaria will test their strength in the VII International Competition "Young Rescuer". Competitions will last until June 30th.
