Summer camp “Herbiye” was held in Gabala.

On 20 July in Gabala the opening ceremony of military-patriotic camp "Herbiye" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces was jointly held by “ASAN Service”, “ASAN Volunteers” and the State Border Service. The Chairperson of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, Deputy Chief of the State Border Service Lieutenant-General Ilham Mehdiyev, Head of Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev and other guests attended the meeting. The participants of the meeting expressed their deep esteem for the cherished memory of great leader by laying flowers to the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev situated in Gabala city. The Head of Gabala region Executive Border Sabuhi Abdullayev sent his greetings to the guests after the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded at the opening ceremony of the camp. He expressed his gratitude to the event organizers for choosing Gabala region to host “Herbiye” summer camp. The Head of REP noted in his speech that such events instill feelings of patriotism in children, shape their imaginations about army, increase love feelings of youth towards the land and Motherland. By noting the organization of excursions to museums, tourist sports complexes, and other historical venues during the summer camp of ASAN volunteers, Sabuhi Abdullayev expressed that the days they spent in Gabala will leave indelible imprints on their impressions and he wished success to all participants. In their speeches, the Chairperson of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev and the Deputy Chief of the State Border Service Lieutenant-General Ilham Mehdiyev informed about the essence of the event. It was noted that military-patriotic camp “Herbiye” is the second summer camp in the form of a military simulation jointly organized by “ASAN Volunteers” and the State Border Service. Orators noted that the camp established in the form of a military simulation game will be organized in the military unit and desert environment and the participants will be provided with all food and hygienic means. 100 ASAN volunteers from 9 regions attended the home-based camp which differs from the hotel and home environment. Participants of military-patriotic camp “Herbiye” attended various professional military trainings, tactical training, guard training, shooting training, topography, commander training and other military trainings. At the same time ASAN volunteers were informed about the life of Azerbaijani generals and their service in army building, as well as activities held in the direction of development and improvement of army building policy.
