Gabala held VI Youth Festival "Live Pages of History".

On the Occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and 95th Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev VI Youth Festival “Live Pages of History” was held in Gabala. In the festival held in Vendam village of the district, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the support of the State Border Service and Gabala District Executive Power, the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the first parliamentary republic in the Muslim East, was demonstrated at a performance by professional performers and students on the basis of historical facts. At the festival held on the green scene, surrounded by mountains all around, the actors of Academic National Drama, Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators, Russian Drama Theater, Sheki State Drama Theater and Mingachevir State Drama Theater performed. Within the framework of the festival the special decorated exhibition devoted to the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and life and activity of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held. The festival was remembered with interesting sketches held in order to educate young generation in the spirit of patriotism, to visually convey the war history of our people, 1918 March genocide, establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and collapse of the country after 23 months to young generation. The sketch began with the scene of exposure of Azerbaijanis to sudden attack and cruel killing by Armenians while celebrating Novruz Holiday in March 1918. Then the establishment and activity of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and people’s living at that period were professionally animated by the national dressed actors. Azad Rahimov, the Minister of Youth and Sport, heads of executive power of the district, of administrations and organizations, as well as more than 1,500 actors, folk artists, youth and schoolchildren attended the event. The festival ended with fireworks.
