Next educational event of the “Fruitful Yards” project was held in Mirzabayli village.

The agricultural group of “Gilan” Holding held the next educational event dedicated to the subject of “Progressive Gardening” within the framework of the “Fruitful Yards” project on May 4 in Mirzabayli. In the event attended by the farmers engaging in hazelnut growing in the village, they were provided with theoretical and practical information in this field. At the seminar-Conference, Director of Production Department of “Gilan Agrocenter Group” LLC Uzeyir Panahov brought to the attention that hazelnut growing is a strategic field, the state care towards this field has been enhanced according to the instruction of the Head of State and therefore our gardeners get more benefit. During the educational seminar, Director of “Gilan” Gabala Food Production OJSC Anar Ismayilov gave information about the works implemented in development of hazelnut growing, said that improvement of other agricultural spheres are in the center of the attention of the Head of State and noted that recently continuous events have been carried out in this regard. Then the representative of USAID international organization, agronomist in hazelnut growing Ziyafaddin Aliyev read a lecture related to the subject to the event participants. It was said that the progressive agro-technical treatment methods of foreign countries must be used with regard to further improvement of hazelnut growing field of agriculture, which has high export potential. At the same time, complying with the traditional procedures while basing on the practices of world countries gives stimulation for both high productivity and high quality. Bringing to the attention that the vast majority of hazelnut production falls to Gabala region’s share, it was said that hazelnut growing is deemed one of the main sources of income for region population. Like other villages of the region, the interest in this field is increasing year by year in Mirzabayli village too. The farmers and entrepreneurs were provided with useful information around the subject such as timely plantation of trees, their cultivation and storage according to agro-technical rules, and their questions were answered. It was emphasized during the event that such business meetings are very important for farmers and entrepreneurs.
