Final stage of the “Young Rescuer and Firefighter” Competition in the North-West territories.

The final stage of the “Young Rescuer and Firefighter” Competition in the North-West territories, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, was held on the 04th of May in 2018 at the North-West Regional Center. Teams from regular schools of Gobustan, Shamakhi, Aghsu, Ismayilli, Gabala, Oghuz, Shaki, Gakh, Zagatala, and Balakan regions entering the dislocation area of the Center, which had obtained license for the territorial stage, took part in the competition. The speakers of the opening ceremony of the event spoke about the significance of the “Young Rescuer and Firefighter” Competitions held under the support of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as the Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports, enhancement of the preparedness level of teenagers and young people for emergency situations, increasing the sense of responsible attitude towards personal and public safety among schoolchildren, instilment of military patriotic spirit in young generation, promotion of healthy life-style among young people, as well as the importance of strict compliance with the fire protection and technical safety rules, and adopting the rules for proper rendering of first aid by schoolchildren. The Competition is composed of 3 phases called ”Barrier Line”, “Fire Relay”, “Teams Introduction Contest”. In the competition, the 1st place was won by Gakh city School-Lyceum No.2 named after N. Allahverdiyev, the 2nd place was taken by Ismayilli city Full Secondary School No.6 named after N.Behdiyev, and the 3rd place by Bum settlement Full Secondary School in Gabala region. The team ranking advanced to the final stage for the Republic of the “Young Rescuer and Firefighter” Competitions dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The distinguished teams were awarded diplomas.
