Labor protection is an important issue.

On the initiative of the Trade Unions Confederation of the Republic and the Trade Union Republican Committee of Education Workers, a regional seminar was held in Gabala on the "World Day for Safety and Health at Work". The event was attended by educators, chairmen of region committees of trade unions, teachers from 16 regions. The seminar was opened by the head of the organizational department of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Educators Emil Rustamov. In connection with the topic, Chief Technical Inspector of the Republican Committee Rahim Salimov delivered a speech. He noted that World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated in most countries of the world, since 1987. Today, in all areas, including in the field of education, occupational safety is considered to be one of the important issues. The speaker gave detailed information on the appropriate measures of labor protection in general schools, in kindergartens and out-of-school educational institutions. In this regard, the chairmen of Ismayilli, Oghuz, Shaki region committees of the trade union of educators spoke. The head of the education department of the Gabala region Arifa Bayramova informed the participants of the seminar about the work done in the field of labor protection in the educational institutions of the region. Deputy Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Arif Allahverdiyev, noting the urgency of the issue, expressed gratitude to the organizers for holding the event in our region. Arif Allahverdiyev noted that the issues raised at the seminar to create work safety and normal working conditions were completely solved in the educational institutions of Gabala. The chairmen of the regional committees of the Barda, Oghuz, Shaki, Shamakhi, Zardab and Gabala regions were awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union Republican Committee of Education Workers of Azerbaijan for winning the contest, held in connection with labor protection.
