Acquaintance with Ganja city made a good impression on Gabala students.

Gabala students taking part in the tour-campaign for Ganja-Shamkir-Goygol route got acquainted with the historical monuments, sacred places, cultural centers, as well as the recently constructed tourism and recreation venues of Ganja on March 27. The first place visited by the participants of educational tour-campaign was the Mausoleum of a great thinker, brilliant Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi. The students first visited the graves of Sheikh Nizami and of the poet's parents. The students became familiar with the conditions created around the mausoleum, viewed the statues based on motives of Nizami Ganjavi's poems, and had their photos taken. Then the tour-campaign participants observed the exhibits in Nizami Ganjavi Museum Nizami. The acquaintance with the “Imamzadeh” religious complex, one of the sacred temples of the Muslim world also became an interesting experience for students. Extensive renovation and construction works have been carried out at “Imamzadeh” sanctuary with the initiation of President Ilham Aliyev, and a great complex has been built around it. Afterwards, the tour-campaign participants visited the National Leader’s monument at the Heydar Aliyev square, and memorized him with great respect. The students got acquainted with Shah Abbas Mosque, Chokak Hamam, Ughurlu Khan Caravanserai, which are the reminders of the XVII centuries, and visited the Tomb of Javad Khan, the last ruler of Ganja Khanate. Then the tour-campaign participants spent some time at the Mahsati Ganjavi Culture Center. They became familiar with the materials reflecting the life and creative activities of the first female poet of Azerbaijan therein. Gabala students have also been to Mirza Shafi Vazeh Museum, recently put into service and the opening ceremony of which was attended by President Ilham Aliyev, and to the park bearing the poet’s name. There, the students were given extensive information about the date of built of the mus eum, as well as life and creative activities of the great poet and educator Mirza Shafi Vazeh. The excursion of the students within the framework of the tour-campaign still continues.
